Wait for the Lord

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

NIV

Wait. In a world of instant everything, waiting feels like failure. Yet the psalmist says it twice: wait for the Lord. This repetition is not stutter but emphasis. And between the waiting instructions comes unexpected counsel: be strong and take heart. Waiting is not passive resignation but active endurance. It requires strength, not weakness. Courage, not cowardice. The one who waits well is not the one who merely survives the waiting but the one who grows stronger in it. How is God strengthening your heart in this season of waiting?

Ponder This

Where am I trying to rush ahead of God's timing?

Today's Practice

Identify one area where you are waiting. Ask God for strength and heart, not just speed.

Speak This Truth

Waiting is not wasted time. God strengthens me as I wait.
