Give Thanks Always
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”

In all circumstances, not for all circumstances. This is crucial distinction. We need not pretend pain is pleasure or loss is gain. But in every situation, something remains worthy of thanks. The command reveals God's will clearly: thanksgiving. Not occasionally, not only when convenient, but always. This posture of gratitude transforms perspective. What remains true about God even when circumstances are difficult? Start there. Give thanks.
