The Power of the Tongue

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Life and death in an organ no larger than a few inches. The tongue speaks blessing or curse, encouragement or destruction, truth or lies. We will eat the fruit of what we speak, for words plant seeds. What grows in our relationships, our self-perception, our communities has roots in what has been spoken. Are you planting life or death? Today's words become tomorrow's harvest. Choose them wisely.
