In Quietness and Trust

Israel sought salvation in alliances, chariots, military might. God offered something different: repentance and rest, quietness and trust. This is not the strength the world recognizes. It looks like weakness to rely on what you cannot control. But God's economy runs differently. The noise of striving drowns out the voice of God. The rush to solve prevents the peace of trusting. Where do you find strength: in more effort or in more surrender?
